Special Instructions for the Conference:
1. Platform presentation speakers are encouraged to bring their own laptops for presentations. Available connections are HDMI, USB-C, and mini-displayport. Any others will require an adaptor that connects with an HDMI cable. However, each room has its own dedicated computer, so speakers are encouraged to bring a USB stick as a backup.
2. Poster size is limited to 3'-H x 4'-W.
3. Student talks should be 15-20 minutes in length and allow at least five minutes for questions.
4. Students with odd-numbered poster assignments should be prepared to present their posters during the first poster session. Students with even-numbered poster assignments should be prepared to present their posters during the second poster session. Posters may be placed at any time after 8 AM.
5. A poster presentation is a professional presentation. At past conferences, some students have allowed their friends to congregate at their poster. This creates a social gathering and not a professional presentation. In some of these past cases, the poster was not judged by a judge. 8
